The field of automotive applications encompasses a wide range of processes and equipment, including plastic moulding and processing, rubber processing, lamination processing, actuator lining for electromagnetic solenoids, non-stick head blankets for forming, welding, and other related processes.

Compression Moulding Releasing
Compression moulding is a cost-effective process for producing high-tensile, lightweight automotive parts. WellFlon PTFE release tape, release belts and release sheets are processing aids for bonding, converting or shaping materials into composite parts. Our products protect reusable moulds and offer an easy-release surface. Due to their superior heat resistance, high mechanical strength and strong abrasion resistance, they ensure a high-quality finish and high production capacity.



Thermal and Pressing Lamination Manufacturing
Thermal lamination is a typical process for producing lightweight, high-performance composite materials in the automotive industry. WellFlon PTFE release fabric is an important aid in lamination operations involving decorative materials, organo sheets, molten polymers, adhesives, and more. These PTFE-coated fabrics are used as release sheets or conveyor belts due to their excellent temperature and abrasion resistance, and their easy-release surface. WellFlon release solutions ensure an excellent finish on the end product and maximise output and machine productivity.

Low Friction Actuator Liners
WellFlon PTFE-coated fabric is an effective solution for controlling friction in fast-reacting EM solenoids for automatic transmissions, carburetors, solenoids, etc. These lightweight, flexible composite materials act as low-friction liners, reducing friction levels and enabling improved transmission responsiveness. This assists in making carburetors and solenoids more energy efficient. WellFlon Teflon-coated liners offer long-lasting performance and help to improve the economics of automobiles by reducing space and weight.


Carbon Fibre Composites
In the automotive industry, carbon fibre composites are used for parts such as doors, side mirrors, bonnets and tailgates. They are the easiest way to reduce vehicle weight, and their usage is expected to nearly double from 2015 to 2020 for other significant parts such as seats, undertrays, instrument panels and engine covers. WellFlon PTFE-coated fabric is used as a release sheet or belt in the production of carbon fibre prepreg, for example in heat press processing and vacuum bagging systems.


Rubber Extrusion and Curing
WellFlon PTFE-coated fabrics are the perfect solution for rubber extrusion and curing lines. Widely used in the manufacture of rubber profiles, WellFlon PTFE belts can work continuously below 260°C and offer an excellent release during the curing and cooling of PVC, PU, PE and other materials. The non-stick surface means that nothing will be left on the Teflon belt. This belt transfers rubber through a microwave or electric oven for the curing process, resulting in excellent smoothness of the rubber surface.


Tire Cord Fabric Manufacturing
During tire cord fabric manufacturing, high-performance polyester yarn and nylon are twisted and woven into fabric. In order to increase the bonding between the rubber and the fabric, adhesive latex is added to the fabric. WellFlon PTFE adhesive fabric is stuck to the roller to enable easy release during the heat treatment process, which improves the dimensional stability of the tire cord fabric.
